MATHILDE DEER

Passionate about photography since childhood, I bought my first camera in 2010 and got published in PHOTO magazine and Fisheye magazine the same year.

From 2013, I traveled for 7 years while taking film photography of details, objects in the street, to create a spaceless and timeless set of peculiarities. The pictures were exhibited in Galerie quai 26, Lille (2017), Galerie19 PaulFort, Paris (2017) and Brunswick Street Gallery, Melbourne (2018).

Back in Paris, I worked on still life with a Polaroïd SX70 and the camera became a catalyst of inner transformation. I then added collages on those Polaroïds with Vogue tears, bringing a psychedelic life to them. Both were exhibited at the international festival photography of Arles in the Little Big Galerie (2019) and in Bliss Studio, Paris (2019).

It's living in Mexico for 5 years that brought back my passion for digital portraits and fashion photography, I worked with designers and international brands (Shiseido 2019, Tropic of C for Revolve 2021, Julia Colléaux 2022), and created the serie “Archetypes” that was exhibited in Haab, Mexico City during Art Week (2023).

Most recently, my pictures were published in Forbes Spain, Marie Claire Italie, Vogue Philippines, Closer France, Goss MAGAZINE, Slimi Mag Dubaï.

The experience

I worked in energy healing for a decade and I consider photography as a medium for healing too. I easily sense people, their potential, their inner beauty and through guidance I love to put into light their uniqueness, the different personalities and archetypes I see in them. Through a play of embodiment through poses, style and make up, we create a theater for the selves to come to light. It’s like wearing your new own skin, through the eyes of love.
